How do i know if my house is good condition?

When having a house inspected by Quality Building Inspections weather it be in:

  • Adelaide
  • Gawler
  • Northern Suburbs

Weather is be a:

  • Pre-purchase inspection
  • A Vendor Inspection
  • A Rental Inspection

All house are placed into a category

  • below average
  • average
  • above average

The categories are all based on the age and condition compared to others homes in the area. Mostly we find house fall in the “average” category. This would mean the home has a few major defects and a few minor defects.

If a house was to fall in the “above average” category it would ideally have no major defects and a few, if any minor defects.

If a home was to fall into the “below average” category it would have significant amount of Major defects and a significant amount of minor defects.

In summary a good way to know if your home is in good condition is to have a building inspection before you place it on the market (vendor inspection) or before you buy (pre purchase inspection). After all the findings are completed a report is produced with a summary section. With in this a section a inspector will leave his opinion and rate the house.

I had David do a preventative maintenance inspection on our butcher shop at the Gawler Green. It was a very valuable inspection as we found a leak coming from the tenancy next door. David's thermal imaging and moisture testing was used to find the problem . It was easily fixed before it became a big and expensive repair .
